In this talk, we will explore some of the misconceptions around introversion and extraversion and discuss how your personality type drives your decision-making, your values, your contributions to a team, and both your communication and leadership styles. Finally, we will look at ways that you can embrace the power of your own preference and support those around you who may identify as your opposite type.
The Radical Act of Self-Care: Permission to Being Kind in Difficult Times
If the last year has taught us anything, it has shown us how quickly the world around us can change. From work environments to hand-washing to hoarding paper products, our priorities and expectations can shift in the blink of an eye and leave us with a whole new way of moving through the world.
Unfortunately, all too often, as the world shifts dramatically around us, we forget to shift our internal permissions to keep up with all the change, and before we know it, we are burned out and worn out and left feeling that we have neither the time nor the permission to slow down and listen to our own needs.
And in that moment, self-care becomes a radical act.
The act of understanding our own physical and emotional wiring, the universal need for kindness, the stories in our head that are either encouraging us or draining us and the restoring powers of mindfulness and connection.
